Rights of Use & User Fee – Design Services
The user fee is calculated on the basis of the design fee. The user fee is calculated as the sum of the factors from the area of use, the period of use, the type of use and the scope of use, which is multiplied by the design fee.

¹ Type of use simple: the client can use the design; the designer may also grant other users rights of use
² Type of use exclusive: The customer is solely entitled to use.
³ Scope of use: The scope of use agreement is based on e.g. according to the number of copies, the size of the target group or similar criteria.
Calculation
Factor total usage = factor area of use + factor period of use + factor type of use + factor scope of use
User fee = factor total usage * design fee
Final fee = design fee + user fee + additional services (eg consulting, material costs, …)
Nutzungsrechte & Nutzungsvergütung – Gestaltungsleistungen
Die Nutzungsvergütung berechnet sich auf Basis der Entwurfsvergütung. Die Nutzungsvergütung errechnet sich aus der Summe der Faktoren aus Nutzungsgebiet, Nutzungsdauer, Nutzungsart und Nutzungsumfang, welche mit der Entwurfsvergütung multipliziert wird.

¹ Nutzungsart einfach: Der Auftraggeber kann den Entwurf nutzen; der Entwerfer kann auch weiteren Personen Nutzungsrechte einräumen
² Nutzungsart exklusiv: Der Auftraggeber ist allein nutzungsberechtigt.
³ Nutzungsumfang: Die Vereinbarung über den Nutzungsumfang richtet sich z.B. nach der Auflagenhöhe, der Größe der Zielgruppe oder ähnlichen Kriterien.
Kalkulation
Faktor Gesamtnutzung = Faktor Nutzungsgebiet + Faktor Nutzungsdauer + Faktor Nutzungsart + Faktor Nutzungsart
Nutzungsvergütung = Faktor Gesamtnutzung * Entwurfsvergütung
Endhonorar = Entwurfsvergütung + Nutzungsvergütung + zusätzliche Leistungen (zB. Beratung, Materialkosten, …)
