The “XXII Totenkult” is inspired by the classical letterforms of old roman/renaissance typefaces and an ode to the decay. This is an allCapitals-font and the lowercase glyphs contain a variation of the uppercase. As you may know that i am a big lover of ugly music and all aesthetics coming along with it, my main concern at XXII-InAshes was to create a font that fits visually perfect and fulfills the basic requirements of a font most free fonts don’t. In this case it means the fonts of this family come along with some little extras like the ‚long ſ‘ (generally used with black letter fonts) and ligatures (like ‚sch‘ ‚ss‘ ‚st‘), a proportional and tabular numerals set, and a european latin language support. XXII-InAshes is a low detail grunge black letter font family. It was made for usage in small sizes, but if you’re a fan of vector-grunge feel free to blow it up as big as you like.
